Grynd was chosen to watch over those faced with crisis those just on the edge of giving up, and make sure no hindrances stooped the process.

Grynd witnessed the Wicked One attacking his family one by one eventually controlling them. He vowed not to let anyone else suffer this fate. God empowered him with the word and enhanced the power of his prayer.
In a battle with Syx he meets Twist and Stomp who show him the power of Matthew 18:20 for where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
